Editor's note: I knew Earlene as a younger daughter of family friends who lived down the street from us, but never knew until recently that her given name is Margaret. Go figure.

From our team of 40's graduates, we have what is now the oldest partially identified group of graduates, the class of 1939.

Thanks to the efforts of Mary Ann (Sutlovich) Bishop (1945), Sam Mezich and Sally Keane (!946), Louise (Sutlovich) Major (1947) & her husband Dick Major, we are blessed with photos from the late 30's and the 40's. Today's first postings are of St. Margaret's baseball teams that competed before the formal beginning of the   CYO (1951).
First we have the 1939 Baseball Champions of the Parochial School League(before the CYO existed)

I wonder what Interbay Field was like in those days. The PSL (Parochial School League) was the structure/organization for athletic competition for the Catholic schools in the 30's and 40's. In the Seattle Archdiocese, the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) was not founded until 1951 with Father Richard Stohr, the assistant pastor at St. Margaret's, serving as its founding director.

Class of 1957

Thanks to Geri (Jandl) Johnson for the photos, and the help of Margaret Ryan, Mike Voolich, Herm Naehter, and a few others for the ID's, we have both the 8th Grade and 7th Grade class photos of the Class of 1957 complete with ID's.
